Local walks around Loch Lomond offer something for every pace and ability. The nearby Conic Hill is a firm favourite, with a relatively short climb that rewards you with iconic views over the loch and its islands. For a bigger adventure, Ben Lomond provides a classic Munro ascent with breathtaking panoramas at the summit. If you’re after something gentler, the lochside paths at Milarrochy Bay are perfect for peaceful strolls, woodland walks and soaking up the scenery.

There are some brilliant local places to eat nearby, each with plenty of character. In Drymen, the historic Clachan Inn which is believed to be the oldest pub in Scotland, offers a warm welcome, hearty food and a real sense of tradition. Down on the loch at Balmaha, the Oak Tree Inn is a favourite for its relaxed atmosphere, great food and lively buzz, making it the perfect spot to refuel after a day of walking and exploring around the loch.
